This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and manage the voice of Complex Snapchat.

• Create, curate, and oversee all content published across the Complex Snapchat network.

• Lead community management, moderation, and direct messaging efforts.

• Identify and propose viral, breaking, and socially engaging content to the news and social team.

• Conceptualize, source, and produce original real-time content for Snapchat.

• Recognize memes, moments, and trends on the verge of going viral.

• Manage the editorial social-post workflow and coordinate posting schedules with the branded social team.

• Implement and leverage AI tools to boost efficiency and act as a thought partner.

• Generate ideas for new Snapchat video content.

• Create creative assets using Photoshop and Premiere/CapCut.

• Support objectives related to growth, traffic, views, and engagement.

• Provide vertical-specific strategies, tactical pivots, and guidance as needed.

• Monitor and share best practices for social and platform usage with internal teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2–3 years of social media and editorial experience with a publisher or brand.

• Extensive knowledge of the internet, pop culture, and vertical video formats.

• Previous experience in Snapchat publishing is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of Complex’s content, voice, and tone.

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Premiere.

• Experienced in mobile editing software, especially CapCut.

• Familiarity with AI image generation techniques.

• Excellent writing, communication, proofreading, and quick decision-making abilities.

• Strong knowledge of streetwear/fashion and its ties to pop culture, sports, and music.

• Deep understanding and fluency in Snapchat and social video dynamics.

• Proven history of driving audience and consumer engagement on social media platforms.

• Current awareness of competitors’ social media activities.

• Strong self-management skills and a proactive attitude.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.
