Freelance Scrum Master

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Foster the creation of self-organizing, adaptable, and efficient teams throughout sprints.

• Strategically plan deliverables and assist teams in tracking their performance.

• Oversee project scope and timelines effectively.

• Cultivate and sustain a team culture that promotes shared accountability for successful outcomes.

• Mentor teams on the principles and practices of the agile framework.

• Define and enhance project scope, estimates, and resource requirements.

• Prepare and lead virtual or in-person workshops.

• Facilitate meetings to assess progress and address challenges.

• Eliminate obstacles or guide teams in overcoming them.

• Evaluate the time and financial implications of scope alterations and communicate findings to stakeholders.

• Determine appropriate moments to implement experiments for learning and problem-solving.

• Supervise project budgets and report updates to the organization.

• Manage the allocation of project resources in alignment with squad composition.

• Engage both internal and external stakeholders as well as delivery partners.

• Build strong client partnerships and align team efforts with business objectives.

• Understand account operations and requirements thoroughly.

• Communicate proactively and navigate challenging conversations effectively.

• Utilize data to back critical team and business decisions.

• Develop creative and technical acumen while striving for superior quality in outputs.

• Share progress updates with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Conduct team evaluations and retrospectives.

• Present metrics and report on progress, team status, and issues to facilitate continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a Scrum Master certification or equivalent experience.

• Demonstrated experience in applying scrum, a broad understanding of agile principles, and a data-driven mindset.

• Experience in an enterprise agency environment.

• Highly developed capabilities in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and enhancing transparency.

• Familiarity with project management tools such as budget/time tracking software and issue tracking systems, with the expertise to recommend suitable tools for projects.

• Proficient in written and spoken English, including comfort with technical terminology.

• Interest in AI-assisted development tools along with an understanding of their appropriate applications and limitations.

• General knowledge of web technologies, including HTML/HTML5, CSS, CMS, JavaScript, and version control systems.
