Freelance Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee numerous client projects spanning various industries and time zones, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budgets.

• Collaborate with clients to define project scope, deliverables, and success metrics.

• Facilitate discovery phases to gain a comprehensive understanding of client business requirements.

• Decompose complex requirements into manageable engineering iterations.

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, backlogs, and roadmaps.

• Conduct Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and reviews.

• Provide clients with consistent updates regarding project status, potential risks, and key decisions.

• Determine scope and pricing for new engagements, assist in proposal development, and support presales activities.

• Work in collaboration with design, engineering, and QA teams to ensure that features align with client expectations and user needs.

• Monitor project health through KPIs and proactively identify risks.

• Conduct tests on completed features to ensure they meet agreed-upon requirements prior to delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 4 years of project management experience within a digital agency context.

• Practical experience in the presales process, including the development of proposals, project scoping, and conducting discovery workshops.

• Strong grasp of digital product development and a product management mindset.

• Experience in managing backlogs, authoring user stories, and working within an Agile delivery framework.

• Ability to challenge client requirements and advocate for solutions that address actual business challenges.

• Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects and clients concurrently.

• Background in Web3/DeFi, fintech, healthcare, or e-commerce is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Notion, Linear, or similar platforms.

• Willingness to work across US and European time zones.

• Proficiency in English at C1 level or higher.

• Experience collaborating with distributed international teams across various countries and time zones.

• Proven track record of end-to-end project delivery in an agency environment.

• Skills in client relationship management and expectation setting.

• Experience in discovery, scoping, and proposal writing.

• Competence in backlog management, crafting user stories, and facilitating Agile ceremonies.

• Strong product thinking and requirements validation abilities.

• Competency in budget and timeline management.

• Clear communication skills with both technical teams and non-technical clients.

• Capability to work across diverse cultures and international teams.
