Freelance Legal Interpreter – Immigration Proceedings

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Deliver remote interpretation services for U.S. immigration court hearings.

• Assist with asylum, removal, credible fear, bond, and related proceedings.

• Provide simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, and sight translation.

• Facilitate hearings across various U.S. time zones.

• Accept assignments lasting approximately 2.5–4.5 hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted for permanent residency.

• A minimum of one year of experience interpreting in a judicial context.

• Capability to provide interpretation for immigration courts.

• Proficiency in simultaneous interpretation, consecutive interpretation, and sight translation.

• Fluency in Spanish, Turkish, Hindi, Punjabi, Nepalese, Haitian Creole, or another qualified language.

• Submission of a resume along with a brief overview of judicial/legal interpreting experience.

• Application must include language pair(s), certification(s), and availability.
