Senior Associate Attorney – Civil Litigation Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee a variety of civil litigation defense cases from the discovery phase to trial preparation.

• Draft and respond to discovery requests effectively.

• Prepare legal pleadings, compelling documents, and necessary court filings.

• Formulate efficient litigation strategies.

• Conduct and defend depositions.

• Prepare witnesses for trial.

• Engage in case evaluations and settlement negotiations.

• Work collaboratively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.

• Research intricate legal issues.

• Foster strong relationships with clients.

• Provide effective, results-oriented representation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

• Active membership in the California Bar in good standing.

• A minimum of 3 years of pertinent civil litigation experience.

• Proficiency with written discovery processes.

• Experience in taking or defending depositions.

• Prior experience in personal injury, construction defect, habitability, insurance coverage, product liability, or professional liability litigation is highly preferred.

• Strong skills in legal research, writing, negotiation, and communication.

• Capability to independently manage cases while effectively collaborating within a team.

• Candidates from outside California must be open to accommodating California court appearances as needed.
