Freelance Korean – Vietnamese Game Translator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread gaming content from Korean to Vietnamese for both indie and AAA game localization projects.

• Ensure an exceptional gaming experience for Vietnamese players.

• Manage tags and adhere to character limits as per the provided guidelines.

• Work on content related to Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy games.

• Conduct translation, proofreading, and Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) as necessary.

• Meet deadlines within a dynamic and creative work environment.

• Complete a translation test and agree to a confidentiality agreement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Vietnamese.

• Proficient in both Korean and English.

• At least 2 years of experience in gaming localization and proofreading from Korean to Vietnamese.

• Specialized knowledge in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy games.

• Understanding of gaming terminology.

• Capability to follow directives regarding tags and character limits.

• Proficient in the use of CAT tools.

• Strong grammar, spelling, and terminology skills.

• Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and creative setting.

• Must fulfill one of the following criteria: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent with considerable translation training); 2+ years of translation experience paired with a college degree; 5+ years of translation experience without a degree; or a translation certification from a recognized government authority.

• Must agree to a confidentiality agreement.

• Must pass a translation test.
