Freelance German Linguist – IT & Software Project

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Conduct Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) for Catalan content.

• Occasionally deliver human translation services when necessary.

• Assess and refine translated materials to guarantee linguistic precision, fluency, consistency, and naturalness.

• Engage with IT and software-related content, adhering to project-specific guidelines and terminology.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in German at a native level.

• A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in localization as a linguist, translator, or MTPE expert.

• Demonstrated expertise in IT/software localization.

• Strong command of German grammar, style, and terminology.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain consistency across extensive content volumes.

• Capability to work autonomously and adhere to agreed deadlines.

• Familiarity with CAT tools and localization workflows is highly advantageous.
