Freelance English to Irish Translator – Legal, Technical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +3 more locations.

📋 Description

• Translate and proofread a diverse range of documents for multiple clients.

• Prepare and finalize translated materials for delivery to clients.

• Translate documents from English to Irish, focusing on Legal and/or Information Technology sectors.

• Collaborate effectively with managers and Project Managers.

• Offer Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Irish.

• Expertise in Legal (Terms/Conditions and Contracts) and/or Information Technology (User Interface).

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar.

• Capacity to uphold professionalism in all circumstances, particularly under tight deadlines.

• Candidates must sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Candidates are required to complete free tests in Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM.

• One of the following qualifications: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or an equivalent degree encompassing significant translation training) from an accredited institution; 2 years of translation experience along with a college degree; 5 years of translation experience without a college degree; or a certificate of competence in translation issued by a relevant government authority.
