This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Convert and review documents for a diverse range of clients.

• Develop and finalize translated materials prior to client delivery.

• Translate from English to Irish in legal domains, covering terms and conditions as well as contracts.

• Translate from English to Irish in the field of Information Technology, including user interfaces.

• Collaborate effectively with managers and Project Managers.

• Operate under managerial oversight to fulfill the translation needs of international clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding written and spoken communication abilities in Irish.

• Specialization in Legal and/or Information Technology sectors.

• Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar accuracy.

• Capability to uphold professionalism in all circumstances, particularly when facing tight deadlines.

• Candidates are required to sign a confidentiality agreement.

• Candidates must complete assessments in Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading/QM.

• One of the following qualifications is necessary: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or an equivalent degree with substantial translation training) from an accredited higher education institution; 2 years of translation experience along with a college degree; 5 years of translation experience without a college degree; or a government-issued certificate of competence in translation.

• Relevant experience in translation, MTPE, and proofreading/QM should be detailed in the CV.

• The CV must also include the proposed best Translation, MTPE, and Proofreading per-word rate in USD.
