This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Conduct research and analyze global fraud trends to enhance impactful marketing and thought leadership initiatives.
• Utilize AI-assisted analytical tools to examine BioCatch data on both global and regional scales as appropriate.
• Recognize patterns and leverage fraud expertise alongside contextual judgement to validate and interpret findings.
• Perform research and analysis using various external data sources.
• Discover data-driven insights for Digital Banking Fraud Trends reports, threat landscapes, and forensic case studies.
• Produce high-quality written content that transforms intricate data and concepts into engaging narratives.
• Create and develop effective visual representations of complex data.
• Present findings both internally and externally at BioCatch events.
• Serve as an internal channel for sharing intelligence across BioCatch teams.
• Establish and sustain a data repository and self-service dashboard equipped with automation and AI-driven querying functionalities.
• Identify and implement efficiencies and automation processes in data analysis.
• Stay updated with emerging AI technologies and explore potential workflow applications.
• A bachelor's/master's degree in a STEM field and/or self-directed technology-focused education in programming for data analytics, coupled with a passion for combating fraud.
• Several years of experience in banks' fraud and/or financial crime departments, showcasing a proven track record in investigating actual fraud cases.
• Proficient in SQL at an intermediate/advanced level.
• Familiarity with Python and/or R is advantageous.
• Practical experience with AI tools for research and analysis, with a solid understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, and limitations.
• Excellent written and verbal presentation abilities.
• Capability to create insightful data visualizations that narrate compelling stories.
• Proficiency in second or third languages is preferred.
• A strong investigative mindset, capable of questioning assumptions and challenging data-driven outputs when necessary.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous environments with incomplete or imperfect data, applying reasoning and experience to derive strong, defensible conclusions.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• A curious, proactive attitude with a willingness to experiment with new methodologies and tools, including AI.
