This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Acquire new clients and increase the share of wallet from existing client portfolios through targeted franchise brands across the nation.
• Establish and nurture relationships with key influencers in the franchise sector.
• Market and advocate for suitable financial products and services.
• Provide financial insights and identify or refer cross-marketing opportunities.
• Analyze competitors’ strengths, weaknesses, product offerings, and pricing strategies.
• Identify and sell to new clients in the franchise industry while enhancing current relationships.
• Manage the sales pipeline and opportunities, assess client needs, present solutions, fulfill requirements, and conduct follow-ups.
• Stay informed about SBA products, business banking offerings, and competitor activities.
• Generate leads through external influencers and engage in industry organizations.
• Identify and suggest eligible franchise concepts for new business opportunities.
• Examine and interpret personal and business financial data to better understand client needs.
• Develop comprehensive client relationships, including both deposit and credit services.
• Manage unprofitable client relationships to enhance profitability or explore alternative service channels.
• Discover client motivations and act as a KeyBank resource for franchising.
• Present solutions to decision-makers and secure definitive yes, no, or next steps.
• Ensure customer relationships comply with requirements and that loan documents are accurate and complete.
• Resolve loan document discrepancies and understand their origins.
• Maintain continuous communication with new clients and request referrals.
• Aim for client acquisition and fee income objectives by closing profitable transactions.
• Mentor newer or less experienced team members.
• Provide insights to corporate partners regarding new product initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least five to seven years of experience in SBA lending.
• A minimum of five years in sales and business development with a track record of success.
• Established connections with franchisors and influential figures in franchise lending.
• Proven experience in originating and closing franchise loans.
• Capability to develop relationships with franchisors, franchisees, and franchise centers of influence.
• Extensive knowledge of SBA products, including 7(a), 504, and Express, as well as SBA Standard Operating Procedures.
• Strong skills in customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
• Understanding of financial products and banking regulations.
• Experience and broad knowledge of personal and commercial financial statements.
• Proven experience and comprehensive understanding of commercial lending and small business operations.
• Proficient in personal computer applications.
