
Franchise Business Consultant – Raleigh / Durham

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Provide guidance and coaching to franchisees and the Operations team in order to meet company and operational objectives.
• Advise franchisee owners/operators to enhance sales, profits, operating standards, and systems.
• Ensure adherence to IDQ policies and system standards.
• Maintain support from DMA chairpersons and key franchisee leadership.
• Engage functional experts and assist other functions as necessary.
• Implement and carry out the Worldwide Operations Business Plan for the designated district.
• Develop and execute district-wide integrated marketing, operations, training, development, and supply chain initiatives.
• Establish and execute business plans in collaboration with franchise owners.
• Provide insights on marketing performance through collaboration with departments, vendors, and franchisees.
• Optimize franchisee performance in areas such as shift management, food safety, quality, service, cleanliness, maintenance, and overall atmosphere.
• Offer guidance to support franchisees’ financial well-being.
• Collaborate with ADQ staff on strategies for franchisee development, reinvestment, and renewal.
• Assist with the opening of new stores as needed.
• Complete additional projects as required.
• Travel to franchisee and staff meetings and site visits, including overnight travel.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, restaurant management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in restaurant operations.
• A minimum of 4 years in restaurant management (preferably multi-unit/high volume) and/or franchise operations management, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Extensive knowledge and familiarity with the Restaurant Industry; QSR experience preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations.
• Proficient in marketing, finance, training, human resources, and development.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize several projects and requests.
• Relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• ServSafe certification required.
• Frequent communication via telephone and email.
• Willingness to travel overnight, averaging two weeks per month.
• Ability to drive to franchisee and staff meetings/visits.
• Must be insurable by the company’s insurance provider.
• Ability to travel by airplane as necessary.
• Capacity to stand on concrete or tiled floors for up to 8 hours per day when visiting franchisee locations.
• No food or beverage allergies that would hinder tasting products or working in a Dairy Queen restaurant environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
