
Franchise Business Consultant – Field Based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Offer guidance and coaching to franchisees and the Operations team to meet company and operational objectives.
• Counsel franchisee owners/operators to enhance sales, profitability, operational standards, systems, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to IDQ policies and system standards.
• Maintain collaboration with DMA chairpeople and key franchisee leaders.
• Engage with functional experts and provide support to other functions as necessary.
• Implement and execute the Worldwide Operations Business Plan for a designated district.
• Create and execute district-wide business plans encompassing marketing, operations, training, development, and supply chain.
• Establish and implement business strategies with franchise owners when suitable.
• Offer advice and assistance to ensure that plans align with ADQ Operations and Marketing Plans.
• Advise on and oversee marketing performance through collaboration with departments, vendors, and franchisees.
• Position franchisees for optimal management of shifts, food safety, quality, service, cleanliness, maintenance, and atmosphere performance.
• Provide guidance to support the financial health of franchisees.
• Collaborate with ADQ staff on development, reinvestment, and renewal strategies for both new and existing franchisees.
• Assist with new store openings as needed.
• Complete ad hoc projects as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in business, restaurant management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in restaurant operations.
• A minimum of 4 years in restaurant management (preferably multi-unit/high volume) and/or franchise operations management, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Clean driving record.
• In-depth knowledge and familiarity with the restaurant industry; experience in QSR is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of restaurant operations.
• Strong knowledge of marketing, finance, training, human resources, and development.
• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas across different business units.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating concepts and programs to diverse audiences.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients.
• Capacity to multitask and prioritize various projects and requests.
• Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external clients.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
• ServSafe certification.
• Frequent communication via phone and email (averaging 4+ hours per day).
• Willingness to travel overnight for franchisee and staff meetings/visits, averaging two weeks per month.
• Capability to drive for franchisee and staff meetings/visits.
• Must be insurable by the company’s insurance provider.
• Ability to fly as needed.
• Capacity to stand on concrete or tiled floors for up to 8 hours per day when visiting franchisee locations.
• No food or beverage allergies that would hinder tasting products or working in a Dairy Queen restaurant environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
