
Franchise Business Consultant – Field-based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Offer guidance and coaching to franchisees and the Operations team to meet company and operational objectives.
• Advise franchisee owners/operators to enhance sales, profitability, operational standards, systems, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure adherence to IDQ policies and system standards.
• Secure and maintain the support of DMA chairpersons and key franchisee leadership.
• Collaborate with functional experts and provide support to other functions as necessary.
• Implement and execute the Worldwide Operations Business Plan for the district.
• Develop and execute integrated marketing, operations, training, development, and supply chain plans district-wide.
• Establish and implement business plans with franchise owners when appropriate.
• Provide guidance and assistance to ensure plans align with ADQ’s Operations and Marketing Plan.
• Advise and direct marketing performance through collaborations with departments, vendors, and franchisees.
• Position franchisees to achieve goals related to shift management, food safety, quality, service, cleanliness, repair and maintenance, and ambiance.
• Offer advice and assistance to promote franchisees’ financial well-being.
• Collaborate with ADQ staff on development, reinvestment, and renewal strategies for both new and existing franchisees.
• Provide support to other departments and functions as needed.
• Assist with new store openings as required.
• Complete ad hoc projects as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, restaurant management, or a related field, or equivalent experience in restaurant operations.
• A minimum of 4 years in restaurant management (preferably multi-unit/high volume) and/or franchise operations management, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• A clean driving record.
• Comprehensive knowledge and familiarity with the Restaurant Industry (QSR experience preferred).
• In-depth understanding of restaurant operations.
• Proficient in marketing, finance, training, human resources, and development.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to deliver outstanding customer service to internal and external clients.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing various projects and requests.
• Strong relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
• ServSafe certification.
• Regular communication via telephone and email.
• Willingness to travel overnight, averaging two weeks per month.
• Capability to drive an automobile for franchisee and staff meetings/visits.
• Must be insurable by the company's insurance provider.
• Ability to travel by airplane as required.
• Ability to stand on concrete or tiled floors for up to 8 hours per day when visiting franchisee locations.
• No food or beverage allergies that would prevent tasting products or working in and around a Dairy Queen restaurant environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
