Fractional Chief Financial Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of Delfina's financial strategy as the company expands and gears up for its next growth phase.

• Collaborate closely with the CEO and act as a reliable voice for the board and investors.

• Convert Delfina's impact into a sustainable financial model.

• Lead efforts in fundraising and investor relations, which includes managing the financial model, data room, diligence responses, pitch preparation, and investor discussions.

• Oversee annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, cash runway management, and monthly reporting suitable for board review.

• Develop the finance function by supervising accounting, closing processes, audit readiness, tax compliance, and engagement with external providers.

• Enhance unit economics, focusing on cost-to-serve, gross margin, and contract profitability.

• Manage financial controls, grant and public contract obligations, insurance matters, and vendor agreements.

• Model pricing strategies and value-based or risk-sharing arrangements with health plans and public partners.

• Provide strategic advice to leadership on hiring, pricing strategies, and market expansion initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as a CFO or VP of Finance at one or more Seed–Series C digital health companies.

• Practical experience with payers and health plans, ideally in Medicaid managed care, value-based contracts, or risk-sharing arrangements.

• Proven track record in supporting a successful priced equity round (Series A or beyond).

• Experience at the board level, including presenting to boards and investors and managing high-stakes stakeholders.

• Confidence in working strategically and in detail with financial data.

• A genuine commitment to health equity and enhancing outcomes for women and families.

• Experience in public sector finance, grants, or government contracts is preferred.

• Background in maternal, women's, or population health is advantageous.

• Familiarity with the economics of FQHCs or community health centers is a plus.

• Previous experience as a fractional or part-time CFO across multiple organizations is beneficial.

• Must possess unrestricted and independent authorization to work at Delfina.

• Delfina does not currently provide sponsorship or facilitate U.S. work authorization.
