This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasts, collaborating with leaders in Sales, Customer Success, Product, and General & Administrative departments.
• Develop and sustain financial models that encompass revenue, unit economics, headcount, and cash runway to facilitate decision-making at the board and investor levels.
• Create regular reporting packages for the board and investors, including metrics such as ARR, net revenue retention, CAC/LTV, gross margin, and burn multiple.
• Provide monthly variance analyses (actuals vs. budget vs. forecast) with clear and actionable insights for leadership.
• Assist in scenario planning and conduct ad hoc analyses related to growth strategies, pricing, and resource distribution.
• Aid in establishing and enhancing FP&A tools, systems, and processes as the finance function grows post-investment.
• Collaborate with the CEO, CFO, and executive team to prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, and potential M&A activities.
• Work closely with the Accounting team on deliverables related to the close process, including revenue recognition, reconciliations, and month-end close, ensuring forecasts align with reported actuals.
• Between 3 to 6 years of relevant experience, preferably from private equity, investment banking, or a transaction advisory firm (such as PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton, RSM, Baker Tilly, CBIZ), or equivalent in-house FP&A experience.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and analysis, with advanced Excel proficiency.
• Proven ability to convert complex financial information into clear narratives for non-finance stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, PE-backed environment with evolving processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CFA, CPA, or MBA is a plus.
• Familiarity with SaaS/subscription business metrics is beneficial.
• Experience with NetSuite is a strong advantage, as it serves as K1x's system of record for accounting and finance.
