This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct reviews and quality assurance for AI-agent implementations in Financial Forecaster.
• Assess completed agent operations against the actual model and relevant documentation.
• Confirm scenario, account, coordination, accounting basis, conclusions, and deliverables.
• Identify failure modes of agents and tasks that are overly simplistic or solvable without Financial Forecaster.
• Enhance task prompts and seeded environments to accurately represent FP&A and lender-reporting activities.
• Revise grading criteria to ensure correct responses are validated while incorrect ones are flagged.
• Identify gating failures, such as incorrect scenarios or vintages, improper accounting bases, excluded add-backs, undocumented model corrections, and answers that are overly influenced by source documents.
• Recognize plausible yet incorrect answers presented at the wrong level of detail or inconsistent with the reporting package.
• Participate in projects aimed at training and improving AI systems for Mercor and its research collaborators.
• Must regularly utilize Financial Forecaster, at least weekly, as part of current or recent professional responsibilities.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in FP&A, financial reporting, technical accounting, lender reporting, treasury, or controllership.
• Experience in roles such as FP&A analyst/manager, financial reporting analyst, technical accounting analyst, treasury/lender-reporting analyst, or controller.
• Practical experience with Financial Forecaster models, including multidimensional models, scenarios, accounts and assumptions, CSV imports, note surfaces, scenario trees, saved views, and exports.
• Ability to differentiate between input accounts and calculated accounts, as well as to recognize overrides.
• Capacity to identify the governing scenario and forecast vintage.
• Skill in tracing figures in the reporting pack back to the corresponding account, scenario, and coordinate.
• Proficiency in navigating account hierarchies and scenario trees.
• Ability to identify errors in units, scale, period, and basis.
• Capability to reconcile conflicting sources and determine which source takes precedence.
• Understanding of entity structures and governing documents.
• Familiarity with credit agreement mechanics, covenant calculations, borrowing bases, and compliance certificates.
• Knowledge of GAAP, non-GAAP, covenant measures, AICPA PFI guidance, ASC 205-40, ASC 280, SAB 99 / Topic 1M, Release 33-10751, and Reg S-K Item 303.
• Sound judgment regarding the correctness and completeness of answers.
• CPA, CFA, or MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be eligible to work without H1-B or STEM OPT sponsorship.
