📋 Description

• Conduct reviews and ensure quality for AI-agent deployments in Financial Forecaster.

• Assess completed agent executions against the actual model and source documents.

• Confirm the accuracy of the scenario, account, coordinate, basis, conclusion, and deliverable.

• Identify failure modes and articulate the reasons behind an agent's success or failure.

• Highlight tasks that are overly simplistic or can be resolved without utilizing Financial Forecaster.

• Enhance task prompts and seeded environments to accurately represent genuine FP&A and lender-reporting tasks.

• Elevate task realism and complexity for proficient AI agents.

• Revise grading criteria to ensure correct responses are accepted and incorrect ones are rejected.

• Identify gating failures such as incorrect scenarios or vintages, wrong accounting bases, disallowed add-backs, figures not reflected in the model, or conclusions directly copied from source documents.

• Detect plausible yet incorrect answers that involve wrong granularity or inconsistencies with the reporting pack.

• Participate in projects aimed at training and improving AI systems in collaboration with Mercor, leading AI laboratories, and enterprises.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have regular, weekly, or more frequent experience using Financial Forecaster as part of current or recent work.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in FP&A, financial reporting, technical accounting, lender reporting, treasury, or controlling.

• Background as an FP&A analyst/manager, financial reporting analyst, technical accounting analyst, treasury/lender-reporting analyst, or controller.

• Proficiency in navigating multidimensional models, dimensions, account hierarchies, and cube slices within Financial Forecaster.

• Capability to create, configure, identify, and lock scenarios, including knowledge of parent inheritance and forecast-of-record dates.

• Ability to differentiate input accounts from calculated accounts and appropriately edit formulas versus override assumption cells.

• Experience in loading actuals and driver data through CSV imports with the correct units and scales.

• Familiarity with scenario notes, driver notes, policy notes, planning notes, assumption change logs, and variance commentary.

• Ability to pinpoint tasks involving figures or dimension members that Financial Forecaster cannot generate.

• Skill in interpreting scenarios, reporting packs, model coordinates, and printed figures with the correct granularity.

• Capability to trace figures back to their account, scenario, and coordinate while distinguishing genuine tie-outs from coincidences.

• Ability to identify governing forecast vintages, locked or accepted scenarios, and relevant accounting bases.

• Proficient in navigating account hierarchies and scenario trees to obtain figures that drive covenants, KPIs, or disclosures.

• Ability to detect errors related to unit, scale, period, and reconciliation.

• Skill in reconciling conflicting in-world sources to determine the governing source.

• Knowledge of legal entity, department, segment, consolidated reporting structures, and governing documents.

• Understanding of credit agreement mechanics, such as frozen GAAP, test periods, fixed charge coverage, total net leverage, EBITDA add-backs and caps, funded indebtedness, borrowing bases, eligible accounts, redetermination, and compliance certificates.

• Familiarity with GAAP, non-GAAP, covenant measures, non-GAAP reconciliation, AICPA PFI guidance, ASC 205-40, ASC 280, SAB 99 / Topic 1M, Release 33-10751, and Reg S-K Item 303.

• Sound judgment concerning correct and complete answers, with the confidence to reject plausible yet incorrect responses.

• CPA, CFA, or MBA is preferred but not mandatory.

• Must be capable of working as an independent contractor.

• Must not require H1-B or STEM OPT sponsorship.

🏝️ Benefits

• Flexible working hours; complete tasks on your own schedule.
