This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct reviews and quality assurance on AI-agent deployments within Financial Forecaster.

• Assess finalized agent operations in relation to the actual model and documentation.

• Confirm the accuracy of scenarios, accounts, coordinates, bases, conclusions, and deliverables.

• Identify failure modes of agents and articulate the reasons for their success or failure.

• Highlight tasks that are overly simplistic or can be resolved without utilizing Financial Forecaster.

• Enhance task prompts and seeded worlds to accurately reflect authentic FP&A and lender reporting tasks.

• Elevate the realism and complexity of tasks for proficient AI agents.

• Revise grading criteria to ensure that correct responses are accepted and incorrect ones are rejected.

• Identify gating failures such as incorrect scenarios or vintages, erroneous accounting bases, omitted add-backs, unrecorded model corrections, or conclusions that are indicated by source documents.

• Recognize plausible yet incorrect responses that are stated at an inappropriate level of detail or that are inconsistent with the reporting package.

• Engage in projects aimed at training and enhancing AI systems for Mercor and its research collaborators.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must utilize Financial Forecaster on a regular basis, weekly or more, in current or recent professional roles.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in FP&A, financial reporting, technical accounting, lender reporting, treasury, or controllership.

• Experience as an FP&A analyst/manager, financial reporting analyst, technical accounting analyst, treasury/lender-reporting analyst, or controller.

• Proficient in navigating multidimensional models, dimensions, account hierarchies, and cube slices.

• Capable of creating, configuring, inheriting, locking, and identifying governing scenarios.

• Able to differentiate between input accounts and calculated accounts, and to edit formulas versus assumption cells accordingly.

• Experience in loading actuals and driver data through CSV imports with accurate units and scales.

• Knowledgeable about scenario notes, driver notes, policy notes, planning notes, assumption change logs, and variance commentary.

• Capable of identifying limitations of what Financial Forecaster cannot generate.

• Proficient in reading scenarios and reporting packs and tracing figures back to accounts, scenarios, and coordinates.

• Able to identify overrides, forecast vintages, lock or acceptance dates, and governing scenarios.

• Capable of interpreting dimensions such as Time, Entity, Department, Product/Product Line, Region, Debtor, and Aging Bucket.

• Skilled in locating and reconciling figures that influence covenants, KPIs, or disclosures.

• Proficient in detecting discrepancies related to unit, scale, period, LTM, and fiscal-year-to-date.

• Able to reconcile conflicting sources within the model and determine which governs.

• Knowledgeable in legal entity, department, segment, and consolidated reporting structures.

• Familiar with credit agreement mechanics, covenant calculations, borrowing bases, eligible accounts, redetermination, and compliance certificates.

• Informed about GAAP, non-GAAP, covenant measures, non-GAAP reconciliation, AICPA PFI guidance, ASC 205-40, ASC 280, SAB 99 / Topic 1M, Release 33-10751, and Reg S-K Item 303.

• Able to differentiate a complete deliverable from a mere description of it.

• Familiar with scenario creation, locking, saved views, and exports in Financial Forecaster.

• Exhibits sound judgment regarding correct and complete answers, confident in rejecting plausible but incorrect responses.

• CPA, CFA, or MBA is preferred but not mandatory.

• Must have legal eligibility to work without H1-B or STEM OPT sponsorship.
