FP&A Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Successfully implement Empyrean's Budgeting and Planning solution from the start of the project until it goes live.

• Convert client objectives in budgeting, forecasting, and planning into effective implementation strategies.

• Set up planning models, driver-based assumptions, and forecasting logic for financial planning areas.

• Ensure that client planning and forecasting data is accurate, reconciled, and trustworthy.

• Empower clients to create budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.

• Educate clients on how to manage the solution and develop their own reports.

• Provide guidance to clients on data management, reporting, and best practices in financial planning and analysis.

• Act as a liaison between client users and Empyrean's product management team.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools and standardized processes to enhance delivery efficiency.

• Protect sensitive customer information by adhering to relevant policies and approved transmission methods.

• Carry out additional duties and tasks as required and instructed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent experience.

• Background in banking, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, or financial technology.

• Strong grasp of the banking sector, accounting principles, and financial statements.

• Proficient in Excel with experience handling large datasets.

• Excellent attention to detail along with effective planning and organizational skills.

• Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI.

• Ability to adhere to and enhance structured processes.

• Proven AI literacy in a professional context.

• Demonstrated sound judgment regarding AI application, data management, and confidentiality.

• Knowledge of bank financial planning concepts, such as net interest margin forecasting, non-interest income and expense modeling, and capital and payroll planning.

• Understanding of a bank's balance sheet and loan payment calculations.

• Experience with fixed-income cashflow calculations and fixed income mathematics.

• History of implementing planning or FP&A solutions at a financial institution.

• Experience with financial data management, ETL tools, and Microsoft Power Query.

• Proficiency in SQL or other data analysis tools.

• Previous experience in consulting, implementation, or customer success roles.

• Experience in developing or enhancing repeatable, AI-assisted workflows.
