
FP&A Analyst – Incentive Compensation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Reconcile incentive calculations with source data, plan terms, and financial outcomes.
• Oversee employee eligibility, plan assignments, goals, rates, thresholds, and various compensation-plan parameters.
• Evaluate the performance and cost-effectiveness of current commission and incentive plans, focusing on attainment trends, payout distributions, and return on incentive investment.
• Collaborate with Compensation, HR, Payroll, Sales, Operations, and Finance to model proposed plan modifications and assess their financial, operational, and employee implications.
• Assist with forecasting, budgeting, accruals, and variance analysis related to incentive compensation expenses.
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards that provide insights into plan performance, payout trends, and financial exposure.
• Implement and conduct controls aimed at identifying data and calculation discrepancies.
• Keep plan documentation, calculation methodologies, approval records, and audit-trail materials updated.
• Facilitate the annual design, implementation, testing, and communication of incentive plans.
• Discover opportunities to automate calculations, enhance data quality, reinforce controls, and streamline incentive compensation processes.
• Engage in broader FP&A analysis and system improvement initiatives as necessary.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in FP&A, compensation analytics, financial analysis, sales operations, payroll analytics, or a similar field.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Familiarity with accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Capability to reconcile and verify information across multiple systems and extensive datasets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate compensation calculations and financial analyses effectively.
• Competence in managing recurring deadlines, confidential information, and multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work efficiently across Finance, HR, Payroll, Sales, and Operations.
• Experience with incentive compensation platforms, Power BI, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, or JD Edwards is preferred.
