Founding Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with attorneys and clients to pinpoint issues in legal services and software.

• Transform interviews, support inquiries, usage analytics, and workflow assessments into a prioritized backlog.

• Strike a balance between addressing bugs, enhancing usability, and introducing new features.

• Take full ownership of features from the discovery phase to launch, encompassing problem definition, solution scoping, requirements, acceptance criteria, and engineering delivery.

• Utilize product and design insights to navigate complex workflows through wireframes or simple prototypes.

• Conduct product testing, identify edge cases, coordinate releases, and follow up with users post-launch.

• Assess improvements in matter turnaround, attorney manual tasks, client transitions, and overall communication.

• Coordinate priorities and decisions among founders, engineers, product operations, and legal professionals.

• Contribute to the evolution of product management practices as the organization expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in product management within a software development environment alongside engineering teams.

• Proven track record of guiding products or features from problem identification to launch, along with the ability to articulate the outcomes.

• Exceptional product judgment and prioritization skills.

• Strong commitment to execution and quality, demonstrating ownership and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficient user research capabilities and a strong sense of empathy for individuals engaged in complex tasks.

• Effective writing and communication abilities.

• Technical proficiency with APIs, integrations, data flows, and an understanding of AI product limitations.

• Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and adapt to shifting priorities typical of an early-stage company.

• Experience in legal, financial, document-heavy workflows, startups, internal tools, operations software, AI products, analytics, SQL, prototyping tools, or AI coding tools is a plus but not mandatory.

• A legal background is not required.
