Forward Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Connect business challenges with coding by transforming uncertainty into quantifiable, actionable outcomes.

• Design and manage automation workflows for guest experiences, message creation and review, pricing, reporting, as well as distinct operational engines.

• Create systems for agents, encompassing prompts, tool utilization, structured outputs, evaluation, monitoring, and cost control.

• Develop comprehensive integrations involving webhooks, external systems, actions, idempotency, reconciliation, and monitoring.

• Implement initial production versions and assess their effectiveness.

• Draft specifications, determine what should not be built, deploy post a single review, and manage delivered work.

• Take charge of the complete pre-arrival process, from establishing house rules to guest check-in.

• Work closely with the CEO on a daily basis and report directly to the founding engineer.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least two concrete instances of problem → decision → delivered solution → assessed impact, including quantitative results.

• Practical experience in building, launching, and managing solutions.

• Familiarity with external APIs, webhooks, idempotency, and reconciliation processes.

• Proficient in utilizing AI engineering tools, such as agents, structured outputs, evaluation, and recognizing incorrect AI outputs.

• Strong written English skills and the ability to convey complex concepts to both CEOs and engineers.

• Experience with Node, TypeScript, and React.

• Mid- to Senior-level expertise.

• Capability to navigate ambiguity, make sound assumptions, and take responsibility for results.
