Forward Deployment Product Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, story pointing, sprint reviews, and team retrospectives by applying Agile best practices.

• Oversee multiple simultaneous projects, create project plans and milestones, synchronize timelines with clients, enhance resource allocation, and pinpoint critical paths.

• Utilize AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and LLMs on a daily basis to streamline project management tasks.

• Recognize and address technical or procedural dependencies and obstacles.

• Discover internal productivity enhancements through tools, standardized processes, playbooks, documentation, automated testing, deployment scripts, and custom development packaged as products.

• Ensure that deliverables adhere to safety and reliability standards applicable in heavy industry settings.

• Act as the main point of contact for customers, manage their expectations, and provide clear progress updates.

• Cultivate trust-based relationships with client-side technical leads and plant managers.

• Coordinate Deployment, Support, Sales, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams to align on customer needs, delivery timelines, and product roadmaps.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of combined experience in engineering, product development, or technical program/project management.

• Capability to engage in discussions about design trade-offs, system architecture, and debugging with engineers.

• Proven daily experience utilizing AI coding assistants, generative tools, and automated workflows to enhance personal and engineering productivity.

• Familiarity with domains such as oil and gas, hydraulic theory, fluid dynamics, or advanced control is preferred.
