Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for the technical results of key customer accounts from the initial setup to ongoing daily utilization.

• Implement and configure the Securiti AI platform across various environments including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, private cloud, and on-premises systems.

• Integrate the platform with customer data systems, identity providers, reporting tools, and existing business workflows.

• Optimize, adjust, and resolve issues related to Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and cloud infrastructure.

• Develop and maintain API integrations, which include SSO/SAML/OIDC, SIEM, ITSM, data platforms, and reporting or remediation systems.

• Convert customer objectives into actionable technical strategies for data discovery, classification, governance, privacy, and AI security.

• Modify platform functionalities to align with customer data, risk models, and operational workflows.

• Construct production-ready data pipelines, custom classifiers, automations, integrations, and agent-based processes.

• Leverage AI-native tools and agents to automate repetitive tasks and enhance the quality of service delivery.

• Troubleshoot intricate issues across data, deployment, and integration layers by utilizing observability tools.

• Facilitate technical discussions with customer teams and collaborate with Sales Engineering, Product, and Engineering on proofs of concept (POCs), problem-solving, and field insights.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–7+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, platform engineering, or technical consulting.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, or TypeScript.

• Proven experience in developing and deploying practical technical solutions, including scripts, integrations, data pipelines, classifiers, automations, or internal tools.

• Capability to read unfamiliar code, quickly comprehend running systems, and facilitate targeted modifications.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes, containers, Linux, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Exposure to hybrid environments that encompass cloud, private cloud, and on-premises systems.

• Solid understanding of APIs, system integration, SQL/NoSQL data storage, and both structured and unstructured data.

• Familiarity with AI-native developer tools, agents, and automation techniques.

• Ability to cultivate trust with executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams.

• Skill in translating security, privacy, compliance, or business requirements into a coherent technical plan.

• Basic knowledge of data security, privacy, and regulatory issues.

• Strong sense of ownership and critical thinking capabilities.

• Bonus: Experience with DSPM, CSPM, DLP, data governance, privacy platforms, or related security fields.
