This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
β’ Collaborate closely with end users and stakeholders to identify challenges and create effective software solutions.
β’ Take full ownership of features from the initial concept through to deployment, including prototyping, system integration, and ensuring performance in challenging real-world scenarios.
β’ Work in conjunction with engineering, product, design, and operations teams to develop scalable systems, prioritize tasks, and successfully drive complex projects to completion.
β’ Oversee and enhance system reliability and performance by utilizing code instrumentation, metrics analysis, issue diagnosis, and implementing fixes.
β’ Manage a balance between immediate urgency and long-term maintainability through practical, mission-focused trade-offs.
β’ Be prepared to travel about 25% of the time to deploy, field-test, and support software systems.
β’ Collect direct feedback from users to ensure operational success.
β’ Operate within small teams with minimal supervision, taking full responsibility for the end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects for military clients.
β’ Strong programming skills with proven expertise in languages such as Go, C++, TypeScript/JavaScript, or equivalent.
β’ Possess a high ownership mindset; driven, action-oriented, and ready to take responsibility for all facets of software development and deployment for a specific military client.
β’ Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
β’ Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with evolving objectives and engaging in iterative processes with users.
β’ Excellent communication skills and the capability to lead engineering interactions with customers.
β’ Must have an active U.S. secret security clearance; top secret clearance is preferred.
β’ Experience in software development within defense, aerospace, or other complex operational fields.
β’ Understanding of logistics, supply chain, or sustainment challenges, particularly in military contexts.
β’ Proven experience in deploying software to production environments and managing cloud infrastructures such as AWS and Kubernetes, along with edge infrastructure.
β’ Familiarity with data engineering, analytics, or machine learning in operational settings.
β’ U.S. Person status required, defined as a U.S. citizen or U.S. lawful permanent resident.
β’ Residing in the Seattle area or willing to relocate to Seattle.
