This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Develop and implement a specialized document-analysis application utilizing an existing commercial intelligence engine.
• Collaborate directly with customer stakeholders, regulatory experts, and the core engineering team.
• Convert approved comment-processing workflows into application specifications, data structures, and acceptance testing criteria.
• Execute features for data ingestion, normalization, search, categorization, source traceability, analyst review, and export functionality.
• Link interfaces to authorized data sources and government-provided systems.
• Recognize access dependencies at an early stage.
• Create a reviewer interface that facilitates corrections, supports multiple issue mappings, and maintains audit history.
• Assess retrieval, classification, and summary quality with regulatory experts on representative records.
• Conduct tests on duplicate handling, attachment coverage, reconciliation, high-volume processing, and reproducible exports.
• Implement approved measures for authentication, permissions, logging, monitoring, backups, and deployment controls.
• Assist in accessibility validation, security assessments, release management, technical documentation, and incident resolution.
• Coordinate custom application modifications with the core platform team.
• Keep an updated inventory of both pre-existing and newly created components.
• A minimum of four (4) years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (four (4) years).
• Strong background in software engineering with a history of delivering production applications.
• Experience in integrating APIs and managing data pipelines.
• Proficient with a modern application stack.
• Expertise in database design.
• Skilled in automated validation processes.
• Knowledgeable in cloud operations.
• Practical experience with retrieval or language-model applications, including evaluation and source-grounded outputs, is highly preferred.
• Ability and willingness to sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.
• Exceptional customer service skills in both phone interactions and face-to-face conversations.
• Strong written and oral proficiency in English.
