Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Fintech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Process Improvement, Product, DevOps, IT, Security, and various other business functions to identify and analyze workflow and process challenges.

• Convert ambiguous business issues into clear technical strategies.

• Chart current workflows, encompassing systems, stakeholders, handoffs, dependencies, and bottlenecks.

• Spot opportunities for automation and assess which challenges merit technical solutions.

• Design, prototype, develop, and implement automation solutions.

• Integrate solutions with existing internal systems, APIs, infrastructure, and product workflows as necessary.

• Clearly articulate technical trade-offs and proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Operate independently from discovery to implementation, rather than depending on predefined engineering tickets.

• Engage in DevOps ceremonies while working alongside Process Improvement and Product stakeholders.

• Show ownership and proactively seek opportunities for improvement.

• Establish patterns and best practices to enhance the broader Forward Deployed Engineer capability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior hands-on experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or in a genuinely similar forward-deployed position.

• Strong software engineering foundation with the capability to create production-quality solutions.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing workflow and process automation solutions.

• Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders to identify and define issues.

• Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous environments without detailed requirements.

• Experience in taking solutions from discovery and prototype stages through to production.

• Strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Capability to work across APIs, integrations, internal tools, and existing production systems.

• Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and leadership.
