Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Fintech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Process Improvement, Product, DevOps, IT, Security, and other business units to pinpoint and comprehend workflow and process challenges.

• Convert vague business issues into specific technical strategies.

• Diagram current workflows, including systems, stakeholders, handoffs, dependencies, and bottlenecks.

• Recognize opportunities for automation and assess which issues are suitable for technical solutions.

• Design, prototype, construct, and deploy automation solutions.

• Integrate solutions with existing internal systems, APIs, infrastructure, and product workflows.

• Articulate technical trade-offs and proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Operate independently from discovery through to implementation.

• Engage in DevOps ceremonies while collaborating with Process Improvement and Product stakeholders.

• Proactively seek opportunities and show ownership.

• Establish patterns and best practices for a broader Forward Deployed Engineer capability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous hands-on experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or in a similarly relevant forward-deployed role.

• Strong background in software engineering with the capability to build production-quality solutions.

• Proven track record in implementing workflow/process automation solutions.

• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to identify and define problems.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous environments without detailed requirements.

• Experience guiding solutions from discovery/prototype to production.

• Robust systems-thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to navigate across APIs, integrations, internal tools, and existing production systems.

• Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and leadership.
