Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Fintech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Process Improvement, Product, DevOps, IT, Security, and other business units to pinpoint and comprehend workflow and process challenges.

• Convert vague business issues into explicit technical strategies.

• Chart current workflows, encompassing systems, stakeholders, handoffs, dependencies, and bottlenecks.

• Discover opportunities for automation and assess which issues are suitable for technical solutions.

• Design, prototype, develop, and implement automation solutions.

• Integrate solutions with existing internal systems, APIs, infrastructure, and product workflows.

• Articulate technical trade-offs and proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Operate independently from the discovery phase through to implementation.

• Engage in DevOps ceremonies while working alongside Process Improvement and Product stakeholders.

• Proactively identify opportunities and establish patterns and best practices for an expanded FDE capability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior hands-on experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or in a truly comparable forward-deployed position.

• Strong background in software engineering with the capability to develop production-quality solutions.

• Proven track record of implementing workflow/process automation solutions.

• Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders to identify and define issues.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous environments without comprehensive requirements.

• Experience advancing solutions from discovery/prototyping to production.

• Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to navigate across APIs, integrations, internal tools, and existing production systems.

• Excellent communication abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and leadership.
