Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Fintech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Process Improvement, Product, DevOps, IT, Security, and other departments to pinpoint and comprehend workflow and process challenges.

• Convert vague business issues into specific technical solutions.

• Chart current workflows, encompassing systems, stakeholders, transitions, dependencies, and bottlenecks.

• Spot automation opportunities and assess which challenges are suitable for technical solutions.

• Design, prototype, develop, and implement automation solutions.

• Integrate solutions with existing internal systems, APIs, infrastructure, and product workflows as necessary.

• Clearly convey technical trade-offs and proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Operate independently from discovery to implementation without relying on pre-defined engineering tickets.

• Engage in DevOps ceremonies while collaborating with Process Improvement and Product stakeholders.

• Show ownership and proactively seek opportunities for improvement.

• Establish patterns and best practices to enhance a broader FDE capability over time.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous hands-on experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or in a similar forward-deployed role.

• Strong software engineering background with the capability to create production-quality solutions.

• Proven experience in implementing workflow/process automation solutions.

• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to identify and articulate problems.

• Demonstrated ability to navigate successfully in ambiguous environments without detailed requirements.

• Experience in taking solutions from discovery/prototyping to production.

• Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work with APIs, integrations, internal tools, and existing production systems.

• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and leadership.

• Must currently reside in Latin America.
