Senior Forward Deployed Engineer – Fintech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Process Improvement, Product, DevOps, IT, Security, and various business units to identify and comprehend workflow and process challenges.

• Convert ambiguous business challenges into well-defined technical solutions.

• Analyze current workflows, encompassing systems, stakeholders, handoffs, dependencies, and bottlenecks.

• Spot opportunities for automation and assess which issues are suitable for technical resolution.

• Design, prototype, develop, and deploy automation solutions.

• Integrate solutions with existing internal systems, APIs, infrastructure, and product workflows as necessary.

• Clearly convey technical trade-offs and proposed solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Operate independently from discovery to implementation, rather than depending on predefined engineering tickets.

• Engage in DevOps ceremonies while collaborating with Process Improvement and Product stakeholders.

• Show ownership and proactively identify new opportunities.

• Establish patterns and best practices to support a wider Forward Deployed Engineer capability.

• Function within DevOps while collaborating horizontally across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior hands-on experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or in a genuinely equivalent forward-deployed position.

• Strong software engineering foundation and capability to create production-quality solutions.

• Proven track record in implementing workflow/process automation solutions.

• Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders to uncover and define challenges.

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous settings without extensive requirements.

• Experience in taking solutions from discovery/prototype to production.

• Strong systems-thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in working across APIs, integrations, internal tools, and existing production systems.

• Excellent communication abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ownership, autonomy, and leadership skills.
