Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Facilitate technical discovery and demonstration discussions with potential clients, enhancing product comprehension and identifying requirements.

• Provide customized product demonstrations and steer pre-sales scoping to ensure solutions are tailored to customer use cases.

• Manage the complete implementation process, setting up checks and workflows based on comprehensive business requirements.

• Conduct customer-facing technical sessions to elicit requirements and guide the design of implementations.

• Collaborate with Customer Success on planning implementations and offer consistent project updates.

• Act as a reliable technical expert throughout the sales and implementation phases, addressing inquiries regarding product features, integrations, APIs, and deployment methods.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in a Solutions/Forward-Deployed Engineering or similar technical position.

• Proficiency with serialized data formats, such as JSON and YAML.

• Strong skills in REST API development.

• Familiarity with Python or TypeScript; experience with both is preferable.

• Expertise in SQL and both relational and NoSQL database systems.

• Knowledge of data pipelines and transformations, including filtering and aggregation techniques.

• Experience with Databricks, particularly in job configuration and execution.

• Understanding of CI/CD principles, tools, and workflow enhancement.

• Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new technologies and concepts.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings and adhere to tight deadlines.

• Experience in creating data visualizations using BI tools.

• Familiarity with building data pipelines utilizing Pandas and PySpark.

• Knowledge of AWS services and deployment practices.

• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes environments.

• Background in asset management operations or financial services technology.

• Previous experience in a SaaS context supporting sales or service teams.
