Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Korea, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive deployment of autonomous systems in client settings.

• Ensure that systems are correctly configured, tested, and operational in real-world scenarios.

• Quickly troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to uphold uptime and mission success.

• Collect and analyze field feedback to pinpoint areas for enhancement.

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to drive improvements into the core system.

• Implement monitoring and diagnostic tools to ensure ongoing reliability.

• Train and assist customer operators in achieving operational readiness.

• Convert complex technical concepts into clear, actionable workflows.

• Act as a trusted advisor to facilitate adoption and long-term value realization.

• Represent the voice of the customer by relaying field insights back to engineering and product teams.

• Work collaboratively across software, hardware, and AI research groups to provide integrated solutions.

• Contribute to scalable deployment practices and playbooks for future implementations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

• 2-3 years of experience in software engineering or systems integration within the Field Robotics sector.

• Experience in the field deployment of intricate technical systems.

• Proficiency in Python, C++, Git, and ROS.

• Familiarity with Linux-based systems, containerization, and cloud infrastructure.

• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across software, hardware, and networking layers.

• Experience in deploying, operating, or maintaining mission-critical systems in real-world settings.

• Familiarity with Jira, Wrike, Confluence, or other project management software tools.

• Ability to work directly with customers in high-pressure, fast-paced environments and translate their needs into technical solutions.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.

• Willingness to travel and work on-site with customers as required.
