Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Gain mastery of the Domino platform's mechanics and essential user/admin functionalities during the onboarding process.

• Observe customer environments and collaborate closely with a senior Forward Deployed Engineer.

• Understand customers' data, tooling stacks, and commercial goals.

• Take complete responsibility for customer interactions and work on prioritized backlogs overseen by an Engagement Manager.

• Develop and implement production-grade AI solutions throughout the MLOps lifecycle, covering development, deployment, and monitoring.

• Provide guidance to data science teams on best practices for Domino.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to technical and business stakeholders by leading and advising key accounts.

• Create reusable playbooks, integration templates, and deployment documentation.

• Convert field intelligence into product insights for SRE, Support, and Product teams.

• Construct and implement specialized AI and inference workflows, custom cloud and data integrations, interactive applications, CI/CD processes, platform extensions, and solutions that adhere to stringent security, compliance, and governance standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in a technical role that involves customer interaction.

• Strong engineering background with significant expertise in Python.

• Knowledge of SQL, R, and Bash.

• Experience with Kubernetes and managed K8s solutions, such as EKS, AKS, or GKE.

• Familiarity with Docker and cloud architectures utilizing AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Skill in troubleshooting networking, computing, and platform-related issues.

• A demonstrated history of delivering machine learning workflows, model deployment and monitoring, GPU workloads, and generative AI or agent frameworks.

• Experience working within or consulting for highly regulated or constrained environments.

• Capability to navigate strict compliance guidelines, data security challenges, and infrastructure limitations.

• Excellent communication skills that resonate with both technical and business audiences.

• Proficiency in conducting structured discovery discussions and leading technical solution sessions.

• Ability to translate customer needs into actionable, testable solutions.

• Capacity to thrive in ambiguous situations and quickly become effective within an unfamiliar codebase.
