Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate discovery and design sessions with Fortune 500 teams in areas such as compliance, security, privacy, legal, procurement, finance, and sustainability.

• Acquire and document the current third-party processes of customers, including those managed through email, spreadsheets, and individual knowledge.

• Analyze existing processes and establish target states based on customer metrics, including onboarding cycle time, assessment turnaround, reviewer effort, and audit readiness.

• Create workflows, forms, logic, risk scoring, and approvals in Certa Studio utilizing Vibe Configuration℠.

• Develop integrations and data flows with existing systems and troubleshoot any failures.

• Oversee delivery plans, governance, and testing cycles, which encompass scenarios and cases, SIT, UAT, sanity testing, and regression testing.

• Manage cutover, go-live, hypercare, and the handover process.

• Identify platform constraints and deliver evidence-based feedback to the Product team.

• Transform implementations into templates and accelerators.

• Define the approach for forward deployed engineering at Certa.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years in customer-facing technical delivery roles, such as forward deployed engineering, solutions architecture, implementation consulting, or technical professional services.

• Proficient with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and data mapping.

• Capable of scripting in Python or JavaScript.

• Skilled in debugging failures across two systems that were not built by you.

• Experience in production environments with LLMs, including prompts, retrieval, agent workflows, and systematic output evaluation.

• A product-centric mindset with a focus on delivery.

• Familiar with project plans, RAID logs, phase gates, test scenarios and cases, SIT, UAT, and regression testing processes.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, including engagement with Chief Procurement Officers, privacy counsel, and security architects.

• Experience in third-party risk, procurement, or compliance is advantageous.
