Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate directly with clients to grasp their technical and operational goals, define requirements, and develop and propose solutions — then implement them.

• Design, code, and deploy features that enhance and innovate Catena's core platform, including applications, APIs, and SDKs that facilitate secure and reliable commerce between AI agents and the financial ecosystem.

• Construct and configure agent identity and credentialing systems within customer environments, ensuring that every agent can be authenticated and every transaction can be audited.

• Oversee product deployments from start to finish: configuration, policy establishment, testing, and troubleshooting across various technical settings, including legacy financial systems.

• Investigate customer codebases to comprehend how they utilize Catena's products, identify friction points, and discover opportunities for enhancement.

• Advocate for customer success — ensure that Catena's team understands, prioritizes, and responds to customer feedback and issues.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to consistently align Catena's product roadmap and strategy with the actual needs of customers in the field.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of hands-on, professional full-stack development experience with languages such as TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar.

• Proven history of delivering complex, production-quality features from the initial concept stage to production.

• Skilled in rapid prototyping while adhering to appropriate quality standards.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen understanding of customer requirements along with the product and business context of your work.

• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Flourishes in ambiguous situations; demonstrates high ownership, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a strong sense of urgency.

• Dedicated to developing systems that are efficient, reliable, and secure.

• Proficient with AI development tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) as an integral part of your daily workflow.
