Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with internal teams and partners to define loosely structured problems and transform them into detailed PRDs and functional software.

• Develop and sustain internal tools, such as pricing engines, decision-making applications, data-centric apps, and AI-enhanced workflows.

• Utilize SQL and Python for conducting analyses, creating dashboards, and monitoring utilized by leadership.

• Incorporate third-party models, APIs, and data sources into the company’s systems.

• Execute mapping, transformation, and validation of integrated data.

• Create prototypes in notebooks and scripts, followed by the development of reliable, thoroughly tested production systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing the product lifecycle, from PRD development to execution.

• Strong engineering capabilities in Python.

• Deep understanding of data systems, including SQL, schemas, indexing, partitioning, and performance considerations.

• Familiarity with statistical concepts pertinent to model evaluation, or experience in interpreting metrics and distributions.

• Capability to remain seated for extended periods while working on a computer, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Proficient in using a computer, keyboard, mouse, and standard office equipment.

• Ability to focus on a computer screen for extended durations, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in person, over the phone, and via email.

• Capacity to occasionally stand, walk, bend, and reach within an office setting.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 10–15 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Competence in performing repetitive tasks such as typing or data entry.

• Ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail while completing tasks.
