📋 Description

• Develop complex single-turn prompts related to nuclear materials and safeguards, categorized as benign, dual-use, or adversarial.

• Assess model outputs against a specified policy standard.

• Evaluate whether the responses adequately addressed potential technical misuse.

• Craft reference answers and articulate the technical reasoning behind them.

• Design prompts that effectively differentiate between legitimate technical inquiries and hazardous ones.

• Provide written justifications for each judgment that are comprehensible to non-specialists.

• Engage in reading and writing about misuse scenarios for extended periods.

• Have the option to pause or withdraw from misuse-related tasks at any time without facing penalties.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in characterizing actual nuclear materials, including detection, attribution, and analytical work that supports defensible conclusions.

• Relevant expertise in nuclear forensics casework or participation in international exercises.

• Proficient in radiochemical and mass-spectrometric analysis, encompassing isotopics, age dating, impurities, and process signatures.

• Familiarity with detection and interdiction technologies, such as portal monitors, handheld identification, and search operations.

• Knowledgeable in material signature libraries, reference materials, and attribution methodologies.

• Experience in pre- or post-detonation forensics research at a national laboratory or agency.

• Capability to differentiate between routine professional inquiries and potentially harmful requests.

• Excellent technical writing skills; all judgments must include a rationale that is accessible to non-specialists.

• Prior experience in technical writing, published research, or serving as an expert witness is highly preferred.

• Ideally, possess red-teaming experience.

• Must refrain from using classified or export-controlled information, NDA-covered information, or information that is subject to prepublication review obligations.

• Required to disclose any such obligations so that work can be appropriately scoped.
