β€’ Conduct ethical and scientific investigations into events, systems, devices, and failures.

β€’ Offer expert opinions based on findings.

β€’ Lead and guide complex engineering projects.

β€’ Provide engineering and expert consulting services.

β€’ Examine and evaluate intricate mechanical failures.

β€’ Execute engineering failure analyses related to mechanical systems.

β€’ Create thorough engineering analyses for clients.

β€’ Potentially serve as an expert witness.

β€’ Travel locally or regionally and operate in diverse environments.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.

β€’ A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for the state of residence.

β€’ In-depth knowledge of failure analysis for commercial, residential, and industrial mechanical systems.

β€’ Expertise in HVAC, plumbing, piping, boilers, chillers, water intrusion, and industrial machinery.

β€’ Capability to work in various environments.

β€’ Willingness to travel locally or regionally.

β€’ Preferably located within 150 miles of Charlotte, NC.

β€’ Multi-state licensing and/or an active NCEES Record is preferred.

β€’ Forensic engineering experience is desirable.

β€’ Experience in providing expert witness testimony is a plus.

β€’ Physical ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods.

β€’ Capacity to kneel, squat, bend, climb, crawl, stoop, reach, and work overhead.

β€’ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

β€’ Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

β€’ Ability to push or pull weights of up to 100 pounds.

β€’ Willingness to drive for up to 4 hours each day.

β€’ Strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and discretion.

β€’ Ability to manage work-related stress, multiple priorities, and deadlines.
