This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish, develop, and oversee an electrical consulting team that conducts intricate investigations into electrical system malfunctions, fires, and explosions.
• Act as the technical leader for forensic electrical investigations.
• Oversee root cause analysis and damage evaluations for electrical systems and components.
• Offer expert advice and mentorship to engineers and consultants.
• Produce comprehensive forensic reports while ensuring technical precision.
• Provide expert witness testimony during depositions and trials.
• Work in collaboration with internal teams and clients to outline scope and deliverables.
• Uphold safety and quality standards throughout field inspections.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients.
• Recognize opportunities to expand service offerings.
• Assist in proposal development and client presentations.
• Contribute technical insights for marketing materials and campaigns.
• Over 10 years of experience in electrical systems design or analysis.
• At least 5 years in the field of forensic engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting electrical failure investigations, as well as fire and explosion analysis.
• Expert witness experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent technical writing and communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally.
• Proficient in industry software and tools.
• Preferred certifications include CFEI (NAFI).
• NCEES Record is preferred for multi-state licensing.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• Multi-state licensure is preferred.
• Ability to conduct fieldwork, including inspections in confined spaces and on rooftops.
• Must be capable of carrying ladders and operating necessary equipment.
• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationally by vehicle or plane.
• Some overnight travel will be necessary.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.
• Capability to build, develop, and lead an electrical consulting team.
