This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.
β’ Assess, design, and document electrical systems for federal projects ranging from small to large scale, encompassing power distribution, lighting, grounding, and associated building systems.
β’ Utilize electrical engineering techniques, methodologies, and procedures to create designs that are constructible and compliant with codes.
β’ Generate electrical calculations, drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates.
β’ Manage project documentation and monitor project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
β’ Integrate electrical design components with other engineering disciplines and internal project teams.
β’ Convey project development and progress to project managers.
β’ Engage in coordination efforts with federal clients, contractors, and consultants.
β’ Conduct process design calculations and analyze engineering data.
β’ Assist in feasibility studies for proposed electrical systems.
β’ Keep project information and documentation updated in project management systems.
β’ Identify and assist in resolving technical design challenges.
β’ Aid in quality assurance and quality control initiatives.
β’ Offer technical guidance and oversight to less experienced engineers or technical personnel as needed.
β’ Travel to project sites and take part in project charrettes, design reviews, and value engineering conferences.
β’ A Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
β’ A Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Proven ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
β’ Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical capabilities.
β’ Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, federal standards, and regulatory requirements.
β’ Capacity to research and apply electrical standards as necessary.
β’ Advanced mathematical and analytical skills pertinent to electrical engineering design.
β’ Proficient in design tools and technologies such as AutoCAD and Revit.
β’ Willingness to travel and engage in project charrettes, design reviews, and value engineering conferences.
β’ Ability to travel to project locations and work in diverse terrain and weather conditions.
