This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and nurture relationships with vendors and outlets collaborating with Northstar for the processing and disposition of organics from clients’ manufacturing facilities.
• Promote sustainable practices and directly contribute to waste reduction efforts.
• Oversee multiple projects within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Provide support in resolving issues related to organics recycling streams and partner outlets.
• Investigate recycling trends and technological advancements.
• Analyze intricate data sets concerning waste streams, market dynamics, and outlet capabilities.
• Identify solutions aimed at maximizing resource recovery.
• Transform data insights into actionable strategies and plans for effective and economical organics recycling solutions.
• Review and negotiate contracts for complex solutions.
• Support new client onboarding as part of a cross-functional team.
• Manage relationships with outlet partners to optimize returns for Northstar and its clients.
• Take ownership of assigned categories to enhance the net commercial benefit for both Northstar and clients.
• Conduct audits and visits to outlets across North America.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for cost analysis and comprehensive data manipulation, including metrics tracking and reporting.
• Capable of engaging in negotiations through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships.
• Comfortable with cold calling.
• Excellent technical problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills.
• Skilled at translating data into strategic insights that deliver economic and environmental benefits.
• Proficient in managing a substantial volume of tasks while prioritizing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel across North America 3–5 times annually for outlet visits and audits.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Business with a concentration in Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative field OR 2 years of pertinent professional experience in business analysis, strategic planning, or a sustainability-focused role.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
