Food Prep Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Work Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with flexibility for occasional evening and weekend shifts for special events.

• Uphold quality control, hygiene, and health and safety standards.

• Welcome and assist customers, take orders, and manage the cash register.

• Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions while balancing the cash drawer.

• Adhere to Bistro opening and closing procedures and set up necessary equipment.

• Keep the front of house, food service stations, trash areas, and work stations clean and organized.

• Stock beverages, cups, condiments, utensils, salad bar items, grab-and-go options, pizza station supplies, and other food stations.

• Monitor ingredient and paper goods stock levels and aid in inventory maintenance.

• Prepare and expedite high-quality food in accordance with recipes for all outlets.

• Carry out responsibilities across restaurants, catering rooms, loading dock, and external restaurant areas.

• Advocate for the mission of the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College.

• Undertake additional duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write, and follow both oral and written instructions and recipes.

• One year of experience in institutional cooking or a related field, or a Certificate in Basic Food Preparation from a regionally accredited institution.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• ServSafe certification is preferred.

• Must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
