This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.
• Design, model, and coordinate fire sprinkler and suppression systems for projects within data centers.
• Develop wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Conduct hydraulic calculations along with other engineering assessments.
• Create sprinkler layouts and detailed fire protection designs.
• Select and position sprinkler heads, piping, valves, and related equipment.
• Identify and expedite engineering deliverables efficiently.
• Establish and maintain documentation for project scope of work and its revisions.
• Ensure adherence to NFPA, IBC, IFC, and other relevant codes and standards.
• Prepare design criteria, calculations, specifications, and equipment data sheets.
• Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with design intent.
• Generate coordinated BIM and CAD models and drawings.
• Coordinate sprinkler systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Assist in construction progress through periodic site visits.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, ideally in fire protection, mechanical, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 4–5 years of experience in the design of fire sprinkler/fire protection systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing fire sprinkler and suppression systems.
• Strong knowledge of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Experience in performing and reviewing hydraulic calculations.
• Familiarity with NFPA, IBC, and IFC codes and standards.
• Knowledge of FM Global is advantageous.
• Proficient hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit is essential.
• Experience in designing systems for industrial, commercial, or mission-critical projects.
• Proficient in written and spoken English at B1 level or higher.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet project deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to clearly explain technical concepts.
• Experience with U.S.-based projects and data centers is a plus.
• Must operate as an independent, self-employed professional under a formal contractor agreement.
