Fintech Onboarding Manager – Accounting & Tax

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee the onboarding process for new corporate clients and accounting firms onto the Pennylane platform.

• Ensure that clients swiftly achieve maximum value from the solution.

• Act as the primary liaison for current customers.

• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with clients.

• Recognize opportunities for upselling.

• Guarantee that customers utilize Pennylane effectively to meet their business objectives.

• Perform regular health checks and evaluations.

• Enhance customer satisfaction and retention while minimizing churn.

• Collaborate closely with the German sales team and management.

• Streamline processes for greater efficiency.

• Offer insights regarding product needs and requirements.

• Contribute to the strategic growth of Pennylane in Germany.

• Develop expertise in the German finance and accounting sectors and share insights with clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, account management, or a related customer-facing position.

• Preferably experience within an accounting firm, or alternatively in SaaS or fintech environments.

• Completed training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellter), tax specialist (Steuerfachwirt), tax advisor, or possess a degree in finance.

• Profound understanding of the requirements of businesses and/or tax advisors in areas such as finance, invoicing, and bookkeeping.

• Excellent communication skills coupled with empathy.

• Ability to simplify complex concepts for better understanding.

• Proactive, solution-driven, and hands-on approach.

• Eagerness to assist in building processes from the ground up within an early-stage team.

• Availability to travel to the Paris headquarters for onboarding and regular customer visits in Germany, approximately once a month.

• Business-level proficiency in German (C2 or native).

• Fluent in English.

• Passion for adapting to a dynamic work environment.

• Strong willingness to collaborate with others.

• Adequate experience to align daily tasks with business priorities.
