Senior Accounting Onboarding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead daily meetings with clients to collect financial information, define project scope, and establish trust.

• Set up and configure Uplinq and QuickBooks Online accounts for clients.

• Address integration and access challenges related to Plaid connections, payroll, revenue processors, inventory systems, and other relevant tools.

• Evaluate signed proposals against actual client requirements and highlight any discrepancies in scope or pricing.

• Oversee a significant number of onboarding timelines and deliverables concurrently.

• Proactively inform stakeholders when workload or account delivery may be at risk.

• Diagnose setup and data-related issues using sound accounting principles.

• Develop solutions to keep stalled onboarding processes progressing.

• Work collaboratively with Sales, Initialization, Accounting, and Tax teams.

• Take ownership of the onboarding process from start to finish and transition accounts into ongoing support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Only candidates residing in the US will be considered.

• A minimum of 6 years in a client-facing accounting or onboarding role, preferably at a public or multi-client accounting firm in a Senior Associate capacity or higher.

• Over 6 years of daily experience with QuickBooks, including online setup, integrations, and troubleshooting (desktop experience is not applicable).

• Strong understanding of both cash and accrual accounting methods.

• Proven ability to manage over 25 active client relationships simultaneously while maintaining effective communication and follow-through.

• Capability to escalate issues early, adapt quickly, and take ownership of outcomes.

• A warm, confident, and memorable presence when interacting with clients.

• Ability to build rapport swiftly and reassure anxious business owners.

• Comfortable engaging in direct conversations with clients regarding project scope and pricing.

• Willingness to acknowledge and rectify course quickly if issues arise.
