Financial Systems Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the strategy and execution of financial systems across Teamshares' network of companies.

• Design and implement ERP solutions while overseeing transitions in collaboration with implementation partners and finance teams.

• Assess various financial-systems tools, platforms, payment processors, sales tax software, accounting automation, and specialized solutions.

• Provide guidance to leadership on investments in financial technology and the selection of platforms, including QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, and industry-specific ERPs.

• Develop a long-term vision for the standardization of financial systems throughout the network.

• Establish best practices, standards, governance, and scalable documentation for financial systems.

• Define strategies for multi-subsidiary accounting, intercompany transactions, reporting frameworks, and tax compliance.

• Review vendor and implementation partner proposals, critically assessing any over-engineered solutions.

• Act as the primary escalation contact for financial systems issues, diagnosing problems and providing hands-on troubleshooting.

• Recommend configurations, customizations, and modifications to processes.

• Build and lead a small team as the function expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–12 years of experience in ERP implementations, financial systems leadership, enterprise accounting, or related domains.

• Extensive hands-on experience with NetSuite.

• Practical knowledge of additional financial systems tools.

• Strong judgment concerning financial systems architecture and the trade-offs between platforms, vendors, and approaches.

• Experience in evaluating and advising on technology vendors and solutions.

• Ability to assess vendor proposals and identify instances of over-engineering.

• Comfort with ambiguity and adaptability in growing organizations.

• Proficient in clear communication with finance teams, implementation partners, technology leaders, and business executives.

• Willingness to engage directly, troubleshoot issues, review implementation specifics, and support execution efforts.

• Nice to have: experience in leading ERP implementations or modernization projects for companies with multiple subsidiaries or complex financial requirements.

• Nice to have: background as a financial systems consultant, solution architect, or in-house finance technology leader.

• Nice to have: experience in evaluating and managing multiple financial systems platforms and tools.

• Nice to have: a background in financial operations, corporate accounting, or finance technology.
