Financial Systems Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage NetSuite and deliver advanced technical support for intricate transaction, configuration, and user-related issues.

• Create, develop, and uphold tailored NetSuite configurations, workflows, saved searches, custom fields, and SuiteScript solutions.

• Act as an internal expert on NetSuite and Zone Billing architecture.

• Diagnose and resolve complex system, billing, and integration challenges, driving root-cause analysis.

• Assist with month-end closing tasks, including reconciliations, journal entry assistance, and data validation between NetSuite and other Finance/Accounting systems.

• Conduct data integrity checks and reconciliations for transactional records and integrations.

• Aid in the retirement and transition of legacy statutory reporting systems into NetSuite.

• Support testing of system modifications, updates, and configurations across sandbox and production environments.

• Document standard operating procedures for regular reporting and reconciliation activities.

• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, and internal teams on data inconsistencies and ad hoc reporting inquiries.

• Oversee NetSuite user access, roles, permissions, controls, and segregation of duties.

• Manage integration support and troubleshooting for applications linked to NetSuite, including Zone Billing and SuiteProjects Pro.

• Provide backup administration for other FP&A systems as required.

• Keep abreast of relevant NetSuite functionalities through training and self-directed learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 4–6 years of experience in financial systems, NetSuite administration/development, or accounting systems roles.

• Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP); familiarity with statutory reporting concepts is a plus.

• Required NetSuite experience, including hands-on configuration and development (e.g., SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, custom workflows, saved searches); experience with other ERP or financial systems is a plus.

• Strong preference for experience with NetSuite Zone Billing or Zone Advanced Billing, including configuration, troubleshooting, and support of subscription/billing processes.

• Keen attention to detail and comfort in managing high volumes of transactional data.

• Proficient in Excel (reconciliations, pivot tables, basic formulas).

• Capable of adhering to established controls and procedures while identifying exceptions or process gaps.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with Accounting, FP&A, and IT teams.

• Proven ability to work independently on system enhancements and development projects with minimal supervision.
