Financial Services Independent Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Establish an autonomous financial services advisory practice under the Co-operators brand.

• Cultivate enduring relationships with community members to assist clients and families in achieving financial security.

• Expand a client portfolio through activities such as prospecting, networking, referrals, and community involvement.

• Provide customized insurance and wealth solutions that align with clients' objectives.

• Build trust through consistent engagement and advice-driven relationships.

• Serve as a visible and professional independent representative of Co-operators.

• Enhance Co-operators' reputation and presence within the communities served.

• Independently manage business activities, priorities, time, and sales pipeline.

• Continuously enhance knowledge in insurance, wealth solutions, and market trends.

• Exclusively distribute Co-operators products under the independent contractor agreement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a valid Life Insurance License (LLQP or equivalent) and/or Mutual Funds License (e.g., IFC, CIFC), or be open to obtaining them.

• Comply with ongoing licensing and continuing education requirements.

• Experience in financial services, insurance, banking, or similar advice-oriented sales environments.

• Proven track record of running your own business.

• Background in wealth management, B2B sales, account management, or business development.

• Experience in client-facing advisory or relationship management positions.

• Proven capability to establish trusted relationships and transform them into sustainable business growth.

• Strong sales and business development orientation.

• Comfort with prospecting, networking, and creating opportunities.

• Clear and confident communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills and disciplined follow-through.

• Client-first, advice-based approach.

• Resilience, accountability, and self-motivation are essential.

• Completion of a comprehensive background check is required.

• Background, credit, and eligibility checks must meet Co-operators' satisfaction.
